Hambit blocks the apps that kill your focus — and asks you a GRE word, an EPSO question, or a flashcard from your own deck before it lets them open.

How it works
1. Pick what to block
Choose the apps you keep opening by accident. Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, X, YouTube — whatever costs you the most hours.
2. Get a question when you try to open them
Hambit interrupts the open with a quick prompt — a GRE vocab card, a reading-comprehension snippet, a flashcard from an Anki deck you imported. Answer it and the app unlocks for a timed window. Get it wrong and you wait.
3. The apps you wasted time on end up teaching you something
Five hundred GRE words by June, or whatever you're studying for. Same screen time, different output.

It already works
Hambit started as a Firefox add-on in 2024. The extension is live today — same intervention flow, same question packs, same code path. The iOS and Android apps extend it to Instagram, TikTok, and everything else that doesn't live in the browser.
